LG's G Flex Announced With 6-inch Curved HD Display For 69,999 INR
Recently LG's G Flex smartphone was very much in news and there were many runoured about it on the internet. But to answers all those rumours, LG has recently announced the G Flex with 6-inch curved display. LG has made its first curved-screen smartphone G Flex official in South Korea. LG India has rolled out its first curved screen smartphone, G Flex, in India at Rs 69,999. The model had been unveiled in the country in December last year, and is the first smartphone in the market to have a curved display. At this price, the model is the most expensive Android smartphone in the market.
LG G Flex features a 6-inch curved plastic OLED display with 1280x720p resolution, 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, and 2.1MP front camera. The phone also comes with 32GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Android 4.2.2, NFC and LTE support. the G Flex comes with power and volume buttons on the back, and runs Android Jellybean version 4.2.2. The device is powered by a 3,500 mAh battery
The company has included various software tweaks like KnockOn, which are found in other LG smartphones like G2. Apart from them, LG has also added something called swing lock screen, which moves the wallpaper in response to tilting motion and produces different unlocking effects when the user touches different areas of the screen. You'll also find a Dual Window mode for the mutli-taskers.
LG has noted that the back cover of the G Flex is made of a special material and comes with a self-healing technology, which helps in getting rid of scratches on the phone within minutes. Its still a question, how this feature works. But will let you all know soon. But it reminds me the super of Wolverine from the movie X-Men :)

The G Flex’s curved screen provides the same viewing experience from 1 feet away that a 55-inch HDTV does from 10 feet, LG claims. The new G Flex is available on online retailer Infibeam at Rs 69,490, with shipping in 1-2 days. The model is listed on Snapdeal at Rs 69,990, but it is shipping in 15 days.
