Unistall Default Apps From Windows 8
After a long time writing a post related to Windows 8. This is an interesting one. Those who are using Windows 8, you may know it well that it ships with default apps which have been installed out of the box. You can use these default apps including Bing Finance, Camera, Photos, or Communication right from the Start Screen as the company has placed them on the Start Screen.But now with the introduction of Windows 8.1 the company has introduced more default apps including Reading List, Sound Recorder, Health & Fitness or Alarm along with the apps that were previously available by default with Windows 8.
This can be interesting for tablet or touch device users. But this is not the same case with desktop/PC users. This may take most of your disk size. Also many of you must not be using all the default app. But now you can remove these pre-installed apps from your system you may use Powershell for the purpose but if you are not familiar with Powershell then you wont use it.
But now its one of the most easy thing to do using the app, Win 8 App Remover. It is a free program for Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Update1.
Keep in mind that Win 8 App Remover is a desktop program and it is not compatible with Windows RT systems.
When you launch the application, following screen will be displayed:
1. First you have select the operating system from top right between Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Update 1.
2. If you want to remove apps from the current PC, click on 'List Apps' to activate the app listing so that you can select apps that you want removed from the operating system.
3. Then select the app you want to remove or click on the Select All button to select all the apps.
4. When you have made the selection click on the 'Remove Apps' button to uninstall them from the system.
Note: Before uninstalling the apps keep in mind that you cannot get those apps back using the same program. So its recommended that you create a backup or a system restore point first before you continue with the un-installation process so as to avoid any inconvenience.
