How To Block Website The Simplest Way

Blocking website can be so irritating sometimes. This is something that can be widely used in colleges and offices. But don't worry this post is not going to let know the trick on how to access blocked websites. We had already cover that in the post some time back. But in offices and colleges you will definately find some sites like Facebook, Twitter and others that are blocked. But that is not the tough part. You can block any website you want. There are many softwares available on the internet using which you can block any website.

But this post will let you do so without using any third party applications. This way you can block any of the website and also sites which are not proper for small children. This trick can be used on Windows 7, Vista and XP.

Follow the steps below to block any website:

1. Open My Computer and go to the "C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc" path.
Note: Make sure you Administrator permission.

2. Right click on the host file and select "Properties" and uncheck 'Read-only' if checked.

3. Then click on Apply and Ok.

4. Then open the host file in notepad. Then enter the URL of the  websites that you want to block as shown in below image.

Now just get disconnect from the internet and then restart it. This way you can block any website. This may not work for some. In that case, please leave your query in the commment section.
