SanDisk Launches 512GB Card in India at Rs. 51,990
SD card is one of the most mportant thing that a person needs to store all the data. Global memory storage maker Sandisk has launched a 512GB SD card used in cameras, which has the ability to write data at 90MB per second making it useful for those shooting the high resolution 4K Ultra High Definition (3840x2160p) video, Full HD video (1920x1080) and high-speed burst mode photography.. SanDisk on Wednesday took the wraps off what it is calling the "world's highest capacity SD card" - the 512GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I memory card - at an event in Mumbai and it is priced at a steep Rs. 51,990.
SanDisk also launched a 64GB micro-SD card, generally used in mobile phones, which can write data at the same 90MB per second and help users produce 4K content for Rs 9,700.
The new SanDisk card offers write speeds of up to 90 MB/s, a UHS Speed Class 3 recording speed to meet high resolution and real-world color as well as 4K ultra HD video that is stutter-free. It provides the capacity and speed required to support 4K ultra HD video recording, allowing users to capture great amount of content less any kind of disruption.
The American storage company also went on to launch what it claims to be the world's fastest microSD UHS-I memory card, the 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I. These microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I cards are available in capacities of 32GB and 64GB which start at Rs. 4,700 and go right up to Rs. 9,700.
The 512GB memory card was also made to stand the test of harsh conditions, thus created to be waterproof, temperature proof, x-ray proof and shock proof. If images are accidentally deleted, the new SanDisk memory card has software for data recovery called RescuePRO® Deluxe brings these important files back.
The new SanDisk Extreme PRO memory cards can be purchased worldwide with capacities such as 128GB, 256GB and 512GB. The 512GB, in particular, will be sold for $799.99 (51,990 INR).
