Remove Sponsored Ads from uTorrent
There are hundreds of free applications available on the internet. One out of such app is the uTorrent. uTorrent is one of the popular P2P clients used by lots of people to download torrent files like movies, songs, software's, books and many other things. The application id freely available on their site for Windows, Android and Mac. But one thing which every user hate about this torrent client is annoying ads which comes as an unwanted addition, because this software is provided by developers for free.
This below steps will help you remove the ad from the torrent version 3.4.2 application. Actually ads are something that are not possible to remove, but a little tweak can help you do so.
1. First of all open and uTorrent
2. At the top right side of the application you will see a gear or setting icon. Just tap on it
3. Now here you need to select the “advance” option which is at bottom left side of the screen.
4. In the filter box you need to type “Sponsored” and you will get file i.e. offers.sponsored_torrent_offer_enabled, By default it’s set to True, you need to set this file to false.
Note: This can be different based on the version.
5. After that, type “upsell” and you will get file i.e. gui.show_plus_upsell, again set this file to false from true.
6. After that, type “offer” and you will get file i.e. offer.left_rail_offer_enabled, again set this file to false from true.
7. Close uTorrent application and restart, and now you won’t see any sponsored advertisement.
Just follow the above steps and say good bye to ads. I never knew that they had placed it in the Preference. But finally found this on the internet.
