Get More Options on Lollipop's Stock Power Menu

Android phones comes with many features. There are also many other apps that you can use to customize your Android phone. One such feature or say, option is of the Power Menu. After updating you phone to Lollipop you see only very less option. On my Samsung Galaxy S4, after updating to Lollipop I see 3 option, viz., Power Off, Flight Mode and Restart. Whereas, some other phone have only Power Off options.

Before that were many other options like Airplane Mode, Vibrate and Silent mode and some other options based on your phone. But now, you get all this options in one app, named Material Power Menu.

Material Power Menu is free to download. This add more options to Lollipop’s stock power menu. However, please note that it does not add airplane mode, vibrate and silent mode to the power menu, instead it adds more useful options such as Reboot, Shutdown and Soft Reboot with options for reboot into Recovery, Bootloader and Safe mode.

One more thing, that you need to root your device to get all this options. If not, then it run in Demo mode. Also there are chances that the app cannot remap the power button. Just press the Power Off option to get the extra options. You will get a menu menu with a choice of Reboot, Shutdown, Soft Reboot (restarts phone without the full boot-up), reboot into Recovery, Bootloader and Safe mode.

To replace the stock power menu, you will need to use the Xposed Framework module. This app can be installed on any phone running on Android 4.0 or higher.

Download Material Power Menu

Cheers!!!
