Get iOS Like Assistive Touch On Your Android Phone

Android had already adapted the soft and floating keys techniques by using it in various apps. This floating apps can be available in browsers or any other notification app. Same feature we have seen in the iOS where the soft keys are pre-installed. Many of you and iPhone userrs are familiar with the Assistive Touch. Assistive Touch is one of the unique features of iOS, which let the users to access some of the important controls done through physical buttons on the device.


This feature can be very useful when the home button or any other button on your device, is malfunctioning or doesn’t work at all. Android doesn’t have the Assistive touch option by default, but there are plenty of third party apps available on the Play Store to get this option in your Smartphone.

Assistive Touch for Android is one such app, which offers the iOS style floating controls on your Android Smartphone. Compared to other similar apps, this application offers a clutter free interface and plenty of customizing options.

How does it works:
Open Assistive Touch for Android and enable it. You will see the floating button on your screen. As seen on iOS it appears exactly same as that on iOS. But in this app, you are provided with plenty of features.

Once you complete the installation, you will be redirected to the homepage as shown in the screenshot below. By default, the app will be disabled, click the circle in the middle to enable the assistive touch. The options in the first row are the application settings.

You can change Background and Icon option in the app which allow you to create a different look for the button. The Settings button is where you can edit the ‘buttons’ that appear in the button’s panels. The buttons include; Home, Settings, Lock, Wi-Fi, etc.

It also has different options like Background, Icon and Settings. The name it self says that using this you can change the icon and settings of its appearance. background lets you choose the background of the floating controls from the varieties of color palettes. Icon lets you customize the assistive touch icon display. Whereas, in Settings, you can tweak the control and options to be displayed on the floating screen.

Many of them will not find it as important as iOS users will. Actually Android smartphone that are running on Lollipo already ahs a notification bar which now consists the important options to set them On or Off. Thought its a good attempt, you can still give it a try. It can be more interesting if it had some more options and other buttons to make it more easy.
