Meizu Mix Smartwatch With Analog Display Launched

Unlike smartphones smartwatches are now becoming more popular. So its not a big news if some smartphone makers are making their own smartwatch. Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu has finally unveiled its long speculated smartwatch, the Meizu Mix. The new wearable is listed on the Chinese site Taobao.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched the smartwatch in three choice of watch straps namely Denim, Leather and Stainless Steel and in two colors - Black and Silver. The denim strap sets you back by CNY 1,000 (roughly Rs. 10,100), the leather strap is priced at CNY 1,300 (roughly Rs. 13,100), and the steel strap is priced at CNY 1,500 (roughly Rs. 15,100).

Unlike other smartwatches available in the market such as Moto 360 or the Samsung Gear S2, the Meizu Mix doesn’t sport a full digital display. Meizu Mix smartwatch does not feature a digital display, and sticks to the mechanical analogue display. It has a 42mm case and the innards are protected by a sapphire glass screen at the front.

It has a notification LED light, a vibration mode, is waterproof, and offers Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity. To pair it with a smartphone, the user must have the Meizu app installed. It comes with an accelerometer and gyroscope, and has a 270mAh battery that the company claims can last up to 240 days (standby time, presumably). Also the Meziu Mix is water-resistant and water-proof for up to 30 meters under water which is an added advantage.

The Meizu Mix is basically a regular analog watch with a fitness tracker and a smart alert system built within. Calling it a smartwatch would be unfair, since it only offers a basic set of features and most of all it lacks a display.

Cheers!!!
