Create Restricted Profile In Android 4.3

Recently, after the release of Android 4.3 by Google, many Android users started experimenting on it. When this version was released, it was said that the primary user is allowed to lock out content for secondary users. This feature will be more important for parents who allows their childrens to use while simultaneously restricting access to sensitive content like email, connected Google accounts, and access to purchases through Google Play. This feature is currently available only for tablets and soon will be available for smartphones.

Parents give children their tablets a lot as a way to keep them occupied while the parents do other tasks. With Restricted Profiles, you can ensure that the apps and content the person is accessing is what you have defined. The best thing is that it takes the screenshot as per the profile so the primary user cannot directly access screenshots.

How this works:

1. Go to Settings -> Users.
Users contains options to create a restricted profile. Make sure you set a screen lock, so that the secondary user can't access your account.

2. Once the screen lock is created, return to Settings -> Users and create your restricted profile.

3. Inside the profile, you can choose which apps to allow access for the secondary user.
Major Google account apps are not supported for Restricted Profiles: apps like Calendar, Gmail, and Hangouts are disabled.

This is something best for parents. Giving app-to-app permission is perfect because you can disable any app that's previously been downloaded. The Google Play Store is also disabled, so new apps can't be installed and in-app purchases are unavailable.

Cheers!!!
