Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Price Announced
Some days back we have seen the update of Samsung's flagship smartphone named Samsung Galaxy Note 4. But that time the price and launching date was not mentioned. Also some other things that were mentioned were or might be an rumour. But on Tuesday Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone in India. The company says the smartphone will be available on Friday - in time for the festive Diwali season in the country.
The company also says that, iPhone 6 Plus will be launching on the same day. The South Korean manufacturer has tagged a price to Galaxy Note 4 which is 61,500 INR. But the market opening price will be between Rs. 58,300 and Rs. 58,500. The company also launched its 3G-capable Gear S smartwatch in India, with a price tag of around 29,000 INR. Samsung confirmed the Note 4 Edge will be launched in India, but didn't provide a timeline.
Talking about the smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and features a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixel) Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 515ppi. It weighs in at 176 grams, and is 8.5mm-thick. The company has announced it comes preloaded with support for 14 regional Indian languages. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in India in its 4G LTE variant with an 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor instead of the 1.9GHz octa-core (1.9GHz quad-core + 1.3GHz quad-core) Samsung processor - unusual, as the company normally launches the Exynos version of its flagship smartphones in the country. It comes with 3GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 features a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with Smart OIS, and a 3.7-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/1.9 lens. It comes with 32GB of built-in storage, and expandability via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/ Glonass, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0, IR LED, USB 2.0, and MHL 3.0.
The Galaxy Note 4 features an accelerometer, geo-magnetic sensor, gyroscope, RGB, IR-LED, proximity, barometer, hall sensor, finger scanner, UV, heart rate monitor. It comes with a 3220mAh battery.
As an introductory offer, Vodafone is offering up to 2GB of data per month for subscribers who are not active on data packs. Subscribers with active data packs will get up to 1GB per month for two months. The offer will be activated in 48 hours on first Vodafone SIM inserted in Galaxy Note 4 before April 30 2015. The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in Charcoal Black, Frost White, Bronze Gold, and Blossom Pink.
