YotaPhone With Dual Display Launched in India @ 23,499 INR

Some months back we have talked about a smartphone with dual screen display, YotaPhone, which was revealed in CES 2013. We have already discussed about this phone in detail. To know more click here. The good news is that the smartphone has now arrived in India. The unique smartphone sports dual display is sold exclusively through Flipkart. YotaPhone is priced for INR 23,499 which is bit high for a medium range smartphone.

The phone sports 4..3 inch 1280×720 IPS LCD front display and 4.3 inch 640×360 rear electronic paper display which is always ON. The front panel can access Android UI wheras the rear screen can be used to quickly check notifications, updates from social media websites and apps etc. The handset runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is a bummer and there is no word from the company regarding any upgrades.

The device packs Dual core Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.7GHz along with 2GB RAM.  Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and HSPA+. On the camera front, there is a 13MP rear camera and 1MP front shooter.
