Apple Launched MacBook Starting @ Rs 99,990

Apple has recently announced and took the wrap off its one of the most anticipated ultra-thin notebook. The most interesting thing that its the thinnest and lightest MacBook model yet. Also, its the only first fanless MacBook. Apple unveiled a new all-metal, unibody laptop, named simply MacBook, which weighs just two pounds and is 13.1 mm thin at its thickest point, making it 24% thinner than the earlier 11-inch model.

The new MacBook features a 12-inch Retina display, thinnest-ever on a Mac, a full-size much thinner keyboard with a new Force Touch trackpad, incredibly compact USB-C port, video out, single connector charging, and a day-long battery life. For the first time, MacBook is available in three aluminium finishes — gold, silver and space grey.

The new MacBook is powered by Intel Core M processors, based on Intel's fifth-generation low-power Broadwell architecture. It features a 12-inch Retina-class screen with a resolution of 2304x1440 pixels. The screen is 0.88mm thin and uses 30 percent less energy than the screens on previous models to deliver the same levels of brightness.

This time Apple has removed all the physical connectors except for the single USB Type-C port which will have to do for charging and connecting peripherals. The port allows for 5Gbps USB 3.1 data transfers and DisplayPort video output. Adapters will be needed for all current standards.

This time Apple came up with an butterfly keyboard switch mechanism which is 40% more thinnerthan the scissor switch. New stainless steel dome switches located beneath each key deliver a crisp and responsive feel when typing, and every key on the new keyboard is individually back-lit with its own single LED to deliver precisely calibrated, uniform brightness behind each keycap, said the company in a statement. A new "Force Click" gesture detects how hard a person is pressing down on the trackpad in order to trigger alternative functions such as file previews and word definition lookups.

It features the new fifth-generation Intel Core M processor that runs at just 5 watts (Apple claimed it makes it the world's most energy-efficient notebook) and Intel HD Graphics 530. The new 12-inch MacBook will begin shipping on April 10 through select Apple Authorized Re-sellers.

MacBook with a 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.4GHz, 8GB of memory, 256GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300 will be priced at Rs 99,900, including VAT. The model with a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor with Turbo Boost speeds up to 2.6GHz, 8GB of memory, 512GB of flash storage and Intel HD Graphics 5300.
