Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge: Unique Features

Samsung had recently announced its two new smartphones, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, in WMC 2015, which will be available in April. This are one of the most talked phone now days. Its been said that the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been launched in competition to iPhone 6. The Galaxy S6 is almost exactly like the S6 inside and out — except for its curved design. The phone's screen is curved on both sides, giving it a distinguished design.

This much talked phone must be having something that is attracting all the Samsung fans. Samsung has improved its software and added in a few other important, yet more subtle features. Here are 8 top features of the two new smartphones, as discussed by TOI.

1. Colour:
The Galaxy S6 comes in four colors: black, white, blue, and gold. The Galaxy S6 edge will be available in green instead of blue.

2. Metal Frame:
Samsung says it used a special color filament when creating the phones to make them shimmery. Both S6 and S6 edge are made of glass and metal. You can especially see the metal frame when you look at its edges.

3. Curved Edges:
You'll notice the Galaxy S6 edge's screen is slightly curved on both sides. Samsung says this should make it easier to watch video since the screen wraps over the side.

4. Edge Feature:
There is one key software feature the edge has that the S6 doesn't. This "People" panel shows your favorite contacts. And notifications slide out from the side. You can assign a specific color to a certain contact. When that contact calls you, the phone will also emit a subtle light of that color. If you look closely, you'll notice the phone is glowing purple.

5. Fingerprint Sensor:
Samsung did a lot of work on the S6's fingerprint sensor too. You can now hold your finger on the button like you can with an iPhone. On Galaxy S5, you had to swipe your finger.

6. Wireless Charging:
The S6 and S6 edge support wireless charging, and Samsung says it's compatible with any wireless charging pad. And both phones come with fast-charging technology, too. According to the company, you can charge the phone to 50% in 30 minutes.

7. Samsung Pay:
Samsung's new phones come with Samsung Pay, which can be used at stores with regular credit card readers and those with NFC terminals. It's launching this summer.

8. Microsoft Apps Preloaded:
The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge both come with Microsoft apps preloaded. Compared to previous Samsung phones, the settings menu on the S6 and S6 edge seems more simplified.

All the features seems absolutely fantastic. Waiting eagerly to do the hands on. Le tme know your views for the same.
