Ola Launches Food Delivery Feature 'Ola Cafe'
Uber had recently launched the UberFRESH online food delivery service last August in US. Uber which is also a cab service and is well known. Following the foot step of the rival Uber, home-grown mobile application-based taxi and auto rickshaw aggregator Ola (earlier Ola Cabs) has launched a food delivery feature called 'Ola Cafe' on its app.
The food you order from Ola Café will be delivered to you in less than 20 minutes. You won't believe this? This is what said by Ols, "Ola Cafe will bring the best of food, handpicked especially for you from top rated restaurants nearby. What's new? All of that in less than 20 minutes!,"
The feature, which is currently available only in some parts of Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, enables food delivery to users in just 20 minutes, the company said on its website.
To order, tap the Cafe button below the map, choose your dish from customized menus for lunch, snacks and dinner, and opt to pay by cash or Ola Money, the company’s wallet service. You can then track your order on the map as it arrives.
While Uber had started offering only lunch delivery at the time of launch, Ola Cafe can be accessed by users between 12 noon and 3 pm for lunch, 3 pm to 7 pm for snacks and 7 pm to 10 pm for dinner.

The services can currently be used only in specific areas in the four cities where it has been launched. These areas have been specified on the company's website as below:

How will the delivery boy know my address?
He will call you once he is around your area. Alternatively, you may also reach out to him via the app.
Can I order for food to be dropped to another location?
No, We currently deliver to your current location by default (as picked up by the app automatically). You can call the delivery boy and give him your exact address.
Can I cancel my order?
Before the order is delivered, you can cancel it on the app or by calling us at 080-44050055 with your order id or mobile number. We do not accept cancellations after the order has been delivered.
