Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE Launched at Rs. 39,400
Samsung India has launched the world's thinnest tablet, named Galaxy Tab S2, in the country. The voice-calling tablet will go on sale from Wednesday in retail outlets across the country available in Gold, Black, and White colour variants. The company is calling the offering the world's slimmest tablet, with a 5.6mm thickness, and had first launched it globally in July. The latest Samsung flagship tablet took away the title of world's thinnest tablet from iPad Air 2, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and Dell Venue 8 7000 with thickness of just 5.6mm.
Samsung has teamed up with Airtel to offer free 2GB of 4G Internet data per month for two months for the tablet owners. In addition, the Samsung tablets as per the company would come preloaded with Galaxy Gifts worth over Rs. 31,000. Select apps are also free to download for the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 users for a limited time.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE supports both LTE bands in India (1800MHz Band 3 and 2300MHz Band 40). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and features a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048x1536 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display. The tablet is powered by company's own octa-core Exynos 5433 processor (four cores with 1.9GHz + four cores with 1.3GHz) clubbed with 3GB RAM.
The Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE features an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The 32GB inbuilt storage of the Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 LTE can also be expanded via a microSD card (up to 128GB). Other connectivity options included are 2G/ 3G, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, GPS, GLONASS and Micro-USB. Sensors featured are accelerometer, fingerprint scanner, gyroscope, compass, hall sensor, and RGB sensor. The tablet measures 169x237.3x5.6mm, weighs 392 grams and is backed by a 5870mAh battery rated to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time.

The company is also offering 100GB of free OneDrive storage for two years. Buyers can also opt for the official Book Cover Keyboard, which has a standard PC keyboard and a built-in trackpad, to use the tablet as a laptop.
