Titan Unveils Its First Smartwatch JUXT Starting From Rs 15,999
We all know about Titan. Its one of the leading watch manufacturing company in the world. They are well known for their watches with unique design and quality products. Unlike other company who are trying their luck by launching new and featured smartwatches, how will Titan keep themselves away from trying their luck. World’s fifth largest watchmaker Titan Company Ltd, of the Tata Group has unveiled JUXT, a smartwatch in partnership with global technology giant HP Inc which is also the first smartwatch from Indian watchmaker.
The company said the watch is aimed at providing connectivity while staying true to the essence of classic watchmaking. The Juxt smartwatch looks exactly like any other analog watch would do but adds an OLED panel to show notifications. Compared to most smartwatches available in the market, the Juxt doesn’t come with big, round touchscreen but rather opts for the style of a Chronograph.
Titan has introduced the Juxt in India as well as US, UK and Canada, simultaneously. The company says that by the end of this year, the Juxt smartwatch will be available in six international markets.
In India, the Titan Juxt can be pre-booked on the Titan website and also on e-commerce platform Myntra. The Juxt sports a dual-caliber mechanism with an analog Titan caliber 6130 and a digital mechanism that adds to the smartness of the watch. As far as the design of the Juxt smartwatch is concerned, it has a honeycomb dial and comes with a leather strap.
The watch can be paired with an Android or iOS device and offers a slew of standard smartwatch features such as - incoming calls and message notifications, calendar reminders, social media updates, activity and fitness tracking and more. The watch has an OLED display and has toughened mineral glass crystal. The stainless steel back cover is corrosion resistant and hypoallergenic and the watch is water resistant upto 5 ATM.
It features an OLED screen just above the 6 hour indicator to show notifications for incoming calls, texts, emails, social media to name a few. Not only this but it will be able to do basic fitness tracking.
The Titan Juxt has been made in collaboration with HP and the smartwatch will also retail through HP's distribution networks overseas. With the Juxt smartwatch, Titan will have a tough market to crack, as competition is stiff and the smartwatch market is currently dominated by the likes of Apple Watch, Moto 360 Second Generation smartwatch and more.
The Juxt smartwatch starts retailing at Rs. 15,995 for the Stainless Steel model and goes up to Rs. 19,995 for the Titanium model. There is also a Rose Gold variant of the Juxt, which is available at Rs. 17,995.
Cheers!!!
