Hide Red Notification Badges on Any Samsung Galaxy Device
This below post is for all those users who are using Samsung Galaxy Devices. Their is one feature provided by Samsung of providing icon on the application which indicates the number of notification you've received. For some users, like me, its very useful. It indicates that you have a message or notification. But this can be irritating for someone. There are some users that won't appreciate these indicators.
So, if you are the one who don't want this feature on your Samsung Galaxy Device, then follow the below steps to disable it.
1. Go to Setting -> Application Manager -> All -> BadgeProvider.
Note: I am M using Galaxy S4, after updating it to Lollipop, the steps are Settings -> More -> Application Manager -> All -> BadgeProvider.
2. Open it and click on the Force Stop button to disable it.
3. Restart your device and you'll notice that any pre-existing app icon badges are now gone, and no new ones will show up.
Unfortunately, this is an all or nothing approach, so if you just wanted to disable one app's notification badges, you're out of luck for now. You have to kill them all, or leave them all on.
To get the badges back, all you have to do is navigate to the BadgeProvider settings again and enable the service.
Cheers!!!
