Asus Launches Upgraded ZenFone Max: Specs and Price Revealed
You all know that Asus has already launched the ZenFone Max smartphone in India. Now the company has launched the upgraded version of the same smartphone. The design part remains the same but the specification is all upgraded. It is available in two variants based on 2GB and 3GB RAM capacity, along with octa-core processor which cost Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively.
The smartphone include a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS TFT display. The new upgraded variants will come with an all-new octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 clocked at 1.5GHz. and Adreno 405 GPU. The 1st generation Zenfone Max features a Quad-core Snapdragon 410, clubbed with 2GB RAM only. It pack 32GB of inbuilt storage, supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 64GB). The new ZenFone Max variants run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, another improvement from the earlier Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the original ZenFone Max.
Skipping over to the camera, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera, just like the last year's model. Some of the rear camera features include a f/2.0 aperture, Laser Autofocus technology, and PixelMaster 2.0 for better image capture and rendering.
The Taiwanese company has also announced two new colours for the ZenFone Max (ZC550KL) - Blue and Orange. The 2GB RAM variant is now available to buy via Flipart, while the 3GB RAM variant is listed as coming soon.
The upgraded Zenfone Max supports Micro USB (with OTG), 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Wi-Fi Direct. It measures 156x77.5x10.55mm, weighs 202 grams, and is available in more colours options now - Black, Orange and Blue.
