There are also many apps that offers you 'in-app purchase' and ads along with it. Ads can be found mostly in app that are free to use. Google uses ads in its app because its s source of revenue for many developers.
Many times you don't know which apps has ads supported in it. We need to install it to check of its ad free or not. But this is not the case now. In its latest update, Play Store have managed to let the user know weather the app is ad-free or contains ads.
Google is now rolling out a new feature for Play Store which will show if an app will show ads. As you can see from the image above, there is mention of ads in the app next to In-app purchase text. Now Google Play will let you know if an app supports ads.
Google started requiring apps containing ads to check a box in the Developer Console a few months ago. Now they seem to actually be displaying that information to users in the Play Store. This feature is being rolled out and may not be available for all users. But we expect Google to make this feature across all devices.
Google had made it mandatory for developers to declare if the app contains ads or not. Having ads in the app does not mean the app is poor or have issues, it is about supporting the developer for their work.
