Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus launched in India
After a long wait, Lenovo-owned Motorola launched its much awaited forth-generation smartphone Motorola G4 and G4 Plus in India. As per the company many new improvements has been added as compare to its previous versions. The handset is up for pre-orders exclusively on Amazon India. The company did not reveal the price of the Moto G4 smartphone but said that it will be available in June. The Moto G4 Plus in particular ships with a fingerprint scanner which is the highlight of the handset.
Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus handsets are successors to the company's Moto G (3rd Generation) that launched last year. Both the Moto G4 handsets support VoLTE connectivity and support dual-SIM with dual standby with 4G and 3G connections. For those unaware, the previous Moto G (3rd Gen) smartphone offers 4G+2G standby support.
Both Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus feature similar specifications except for the rear camera and the fingerprint sensor. The Moto G4 Plus sports a fingerprint sensor and a slightly better rear camera. It also is the company's first Moto G smartphone to feature a fingerprint sensor. The company says the Moto G Plus fingerprint sensor can also unlock the smartphone in fewer than 750 milliseconds.
Both are thin at 7.87mm and feature a micro-textured back panel. The handsets sport 5.5-inch Full HD display with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and a pixel density of 401ppi.
Some of the other common specifications between the Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus are 1.5GH Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB RAM, Adreno 405 GPU, 3000mAh battery, 5MP front-facing camera, 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based duo also supports VoLTE connectivity along with 4G, GPS, A GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro-USB connectivity.
The Moto G4 Plus comes at a price tag of Rs 13,499 for the 16GB inbuilt storage+2GB RAM version, while the 32GB storage+3GB RAM has been priced at 14,999.
