World's Thinnest Laptop HP Spectre 13 Launched in India at Rs 1,19,990
HP India has just launched the world's 'thinnest' laptop, Spectre 13, in India, and the release is expected to pit HP directly in a battle for supremacy with competitors in the premium segment, most notably Apple's Macbook range of laptops. We know thin devices are all the rage these days, but this one promises to pack a punch. At 10.4mm thin the laptop weighs just 1.1 Kg and comes with a 13.3-inch edge-to-edge display. The device will be available in India from July 25 with a starting price of Rs 1,19,990.
The Spectre 13 is powered by a sixth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, 8GB RAM and hyperbaric cooling technology that helps the device draws cool air and directs it over the processor rather than just venting heat out. The premium notebook also has full HD IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 4 display and Bang & Olufsen audio with Quad Speakers Sound.
Despite being thin the company claims that the notebook can last up to 9 hours 45 minutes. The Spectre 13 also has three full function USB Type-CTM connectors, including two of which support ThunderboltTM, to provide a fast, versatile I/O (input/output) connection.
Storage wise HP has loaded the notebook with a PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) with storage up to 512GB with up to 8GB of memory. Considering the price that the HP Spectre 13 will come at it will compete in India with the likes of Apple Mac Book Air and Microsoft's Surface Pro 4. HP has officially entered the premium laptop market in India with the Spectre but we believe that they are a little late to the party.
To make it durable, The HP Spectre is made using carbon fibre and aluminum. The island style keyboard is backlit and the laptop uses a glass TouchPad with HP’s ImagePad technology. The HP Spectre has 2 USB 3.1 ports, which support Intel's Thunderbolt 3 standard. The laptop also featires a 4 cell battery and it weighs 1.11 kilograms only.
