Encrypt your Dropbox
Security of our personal data is always the most challenging thing for every person. We have already discussed about many things in our previous post. But as the time is passing, everyone wants to share thr personal data on the cloud. They never know when the system will crash or damage. So the personal data is now being stored on the cloud. One of such service is Dropbox. Yes it is safe but no one knows when it gets hacked by some hacker or by any virus. So for additional safety we will encrypt our Dropbox so that it will be more secure.
Yes, we will use BoxCryptor to encrypt the Dropbox in very easy and simple way. Follow the steps:
1. Download and install BoxCryptor on your computer. It wont much time.
2 Launch BoxCryptor after installation. If Dropbox is installed on your system the tool will detect it automatically and create a folder inside it named BoxCryptor.
3. Then provide a password which will be used to encrypt and decrypt data. Click on ok to finish the setup.
Once you have copied all the files to the drive exit BoxCrypt which will automatically close the virtual drive and thus encrypt your data.
If you tried to look inside the folders created by BoxCryptor during the installation process you will see some randomly named files. These are the file you have just encrypted :)
