Password Protect Your Photos

We all have some secrets and we don't want to share it with someone. Such secrets include photos, some videos, some file or anything. We try many things to keep it secret, like, uploading it on some file sharing sites or hiding it in the PC or install some lock software and hide the files in the folder. But some how the photos can be opened. What you are able to apply to some password to open the photo.

LockImage is a free open source software to protect your images with a password. LockImage protects an image by converting it into a password protected executable with an embedded viewer. The best things is it does not need any installation. You only need to download the software and run the .exe file.

How the software works:

1. Download the Lock Image Zip file.

2. Unzip the program and run the .exe. A small window will open with only two options "File" and "About".

3. Select File menu of the software and select "Open" and select the image you want to protect. You can also drag and drop the image in the window.

4. Then navigate to "File" and choose "Save As". Enter some name for the file to save it in .exe format.

5. You will be prompted for password. Enter the password.

6. You have successfully locked the image.

You can share the .exe file of your image with anyone you want. The people with whom you shared this file do need to have this software installed. They will only require the password to open the file.

You can also share it using USB drives. You can also it as an attachment or via bluetooth.

The only drawback of this software is that it does take multiple files to protect :(
