Display Document Location In Office 2010 & Office 2013
In our office we mostly work on Excel sheets. The common mistake that we do is forgetting to save. It also happens that when we forget the path of where the file is saved. Then we again we click on the Save As button to see the path of where the file is saved. What if you get to see the location of where is file is saved at the top of your file. In short, you will be able to see the path of your current file at the top. This can be possibel with the help of Quick Access Toolbar.
Follow the steps below to perform this:
1. Open any Office Document and click on the "File" tab.
2. Now click on the "Option" tab on the left.
3. Select the option "Quick Access Toolbar" from the Word Option Dialog Box.
4. Click on the drop down of "Choose commands from:" and select the option "Commands Not in the Ribbon".
5. Now scroll down untill you see "Document Location". Select and Add it to Customisze Quick Access Toolbar.
Note: You can move it up or down by selecting the arrow button.
6. Click on the Ok button
Now you will see the Document Location box and drop-down list on the Quick Access Toolbar and shows the path to the currently open document. If youc ant see the compete path, click on the path and use the arrow keys to scrool to the location.
This document location path also displays the list of websites that you have visited recently on Internet Explorer. Same steps can be followed for Office 2013.
Cheers!!!
