Gionee's Elife S5.5 World's Slimmest Smartphone Launched In India @ 22,999 INR
We have talked much about the big brands like Samsung, HTC, Sony, Nokia. Then many other small companies including Indian manufacturer came into the mobile market. Then the list just went on and on. There are so many companies trying their hands in the smartphone market. One such company is Gionee. Many of you must not be knowing about this but its one the well known China based tech company which is doing very well in the Indian market.
Gionee has finally launched Elife S5.5 smartphone in the Indian market. Gionee claims that it is the slimmest phone available in the market at just 5.55mm thickness. The phone also boasts of high-end hardware and comes with an octa-core processor. The Gionee Elife S5.5 that will be available in India from April 27 onwards is priced at Rs 22,999 in India
The S5.5 is equipped with a 5.0 inch Full HD Super AMOLED plus screen, a true Octa-core 1.7GHz MediaTek chip, a 13 megapixel rear camera and the world’s first 95 degree ultra-wide angle 5 megapixel front camera. It features two shooting modes—the professional and normal camera settings.
The single-sim phone that comes with 16 GB internal storage and 2GB RAM, will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Gionee's Amigo UI running on top.
As for the battery consumption, its highest capacity density ratio allows S5.5’s battery to reach 2300mAh. And with the next upgrade, battery capacity can be reach up to 2450MAh. Noting the rising trend of selfies, Gionee has customized the phone for better selfies. With the 95 degree wide angle front camera, taking self-group shots or full body selfies is made possible and easier than ever before.
Apart from that the camera also has a 'Charm Camera' feature which includes an auto make-up mode, footprint mode, and meeting memo mode features. Gionee Elife S5.5 sports a metallic frame, while the rest of the body is made of Corning Gorilla Glass. The bottom edge of the phone features the 3.5mm headset jack while the microUSB port sits at the top edge.
Elife S5.5 will be available in black, white, blue, pink, and purple colour variants and we were impressed with the black and white models.
