Nokia Unveils Lumia 930 With 20MP Camera
After talking about HTC M8, Moto X, Samsung S5 lets come back to Nokia. As we all know that Nokia is trying their luck in the smartphone market by introducing Nokia X with the first Android phone. Nokia came up with a new Lumia edition smartphone named as; Lumia 930. The screen has quite high resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels making the screen ultra sharp at around 490ppi. The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 which also reduces glare and is easy to clean. Nokia Lumia 930 comes with a bright 4.5 inch ClearBlack AMOLED display with capacitive multitouch.
The Nokia Lumia 930 is a high-end Windows Phone device so it features a powerful 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 4 Krait 400 CPU cores and Adreno 330 GPU. This powerful SoC is paired with 2GB of LP-DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This smartphone will also feature a microSD card slot for further storage expansion. Lumia 930 comes with a 20MP BIS (backlit illuminated sensor) PureView camera, similar to the Lumia 1520. Nokia has used a 1/2.5 inch CMOS sensor along with 6-element ZIESS autofocus lens and dual-LED flash.
The primary rear-facing camera can be used to record full HD 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. There is a 1.2MP front-facing camera which can shoot partial HD 720p videos. There are plenty of great camera related applications from Nokia that come pre-installed such as Nokia Camera, Nokia Smart Camera, Nokia Refocus, Nokia Cinemagraph and Nokia Storyteller. The device comes with Nokia MixRadio, Xbox Music and Xbox Videos applications pre-installed.
The Lumia 930 comes with all the latest wired and wireless connectivity features; 42Mb/s HSPA+ 3G, Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth v4.0 + LE (Low Energy), NFC and MicroUSB v2.0. Apps such as Nokia Beamer, Nokia Play To and Nokia Photo Beamer can be used to display multimedia content from the device or screen mirroring to large displays such as compatible TVs. The Lumia 930 has a 2420 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery which can last really long. It is also compatible with wireless charging through 'Qi' standard.
Other hardware features include proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, 3-axis gyro-sensor, magnetometer and accelerometer. The Nokia Lumia 930 is expected to roll out globally in June starting with Europe, Asia, Middle East and India, available at $599 (around 36,000 INR).
