Amazon Fire 3D Smartphone Now Launched
Finally, Amazon has just announced its first smartphone, the Fire Phone. Amazon has had relative success with its range of Kindle Fire tablets, and the new smartphone uses company's Fire operating system, which is a highly customised version of Google Android. I dont know what should i talk more about this. So better we see more details about the phone.
The phone looks like any other full touchscreen smartphone, but the handset’s key differentiating features revolve around a unique combination of sensors and four front-facing cameras that track the user’s head in order to facilitate a variety of 3D effects and gesture controls. Pictures and other on-screen elements shift their position as the user’s head moves, creating a glasses-free 3D experience. Similar technology allows users to scroll, launch menus and display new information simply by tilting the phone.
Amazon’s handset is powered by a quad-core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and it features a 4.7-inch 720p HD display that Amazon says is bright enough to be visible in outdoor lighting. It also includes 2GB of RAM, dual stereo speakers. While it features a unique front-facing camera set up, there's a standard 13MP camera on the Fire Phone's rear, complete with autofocus, flash and optical image stabilisation. The phone will include unlimited cloud-based photo storage, which is certainly a nice value-add. In addition to the five total front cameras, the back camera is said to have optical character recognition that can capture and convert text.
The most anticipated feature of the device will be a 3D interface, which is made possible by four front-facing cameras using infrared technology that tracks retina and head movement to provide a glasses-free, 3D hologram-like image. By shifting the phone around, users will see 3D aspects, from the wallpaper to the app icons. It's also rumored that users can tilt their heads certain ways to reveal hidden items on the homescreen that wouldn't previously be seen with a traditional, 2D screen.
The Amazon Fire Smartphone also features either 32GB or 64GB of built-in, non-expandable storage, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and a 2,400mAh battery, which Amazon claims will offer up 22 hours of talk time.
Prices range from $199 to $649 depending on the service plan you choose. The Amazon Fire Phone will start at $199.99 on contract with 32GB of storage, and a 64GB version will be available for $299.99. Off contract, the phone will be priced in line with the iPhone, starting at $650. With any purchase option, the phone includes 12 months of Amazon Prime service for free.
Amazon’s Fire Phone will be available exclusively from AT&T in the United States, and it will launch on July 25th. Pre-order availability begins today on Amazon’s website and AT&T’s site.
Cheers!!!
