Make a Video Call Using FireFox Hello
Video calling is something that has been used by millions of people. Most of the people use Skype, which is the leading virtual communication service over the internet for video calling along with text messaging interface. You will find many other app giving same services. unfortunately none of them have sustained to attract users. Keeping this in mind, Fifefox came up with an app using which you canhave a video call. Mozilla rolled out a new update (Mozilla 35.0) with advanced free video calling service on internet named “Firefox Hello” with engrossing features residing user friendly mode of operation.
Firefox Hello lets you make free video and voice calls directly from the browser. All you need are a microphone, a webcam (optional), and the latest version of Firefox to call friends who are on WebRTC-supported browsers like Firefox, Chrome, or Opera. You dont have to install any third party app for that. Lets see how to activate it and how it works:
1. Firstly you need to download Mozilla Firefox 35 , if it’s pre-installed on your PC/laptop you can update it to latest version either Click here to download Mozilla Firefox 35.
2. Once installed, click on the Option button (3 horizontal bar) and click on the Customize optoin.
3. In the left pane you will see list of Additional tools/options that you can add to your Firefox.
4. Click on the "Hello" icon and drag it the right pane or on the toolbar, next to search bar.
Once the icon is added, say on the toolbar, you can make free video call. Now lets see how to start the conversation. Follow the steps below:
Start a Conversation:
1. Click on the Hello button and click on Start Conversation.
2. You will see a video window on the bottom right of your screen.
3. Provide a name to conversation and click on the Copy Link (if you want to send the invitation to your friend later) or Email Link (if you want to send the invitation now)
4. Once you send the invitation, again click on the hello icon and click on the Start Conversation.
5. When your friend joins the conversation, the Hello button will turn blue with an accompanying alert. The blue dot on your list will also let you know which conversation is active.
6. To end the call, click on the Hang Up button.
7. The conversation will stay on your list for future use. You can delete it by clicking the trash icon next to the conversation.
This way you can complete your conversation.
Control Your Notification:
If you're not ready to receive a call, click on the status menu at the bottom of the window and set it to "Do Not Disturb" to stop all call notifications.
Add and Manage your contacts:
1. Click the Hello button.
2. Click Sign In or Sign up and follow the prompts to sign in or create a Firefox Account.
3. After you've signed in, click on the contacts tab to access your list.
4. Click New Contact to add contacts individually, or click Import to add your Google contacts.
5. To edit, block or delete a contact, click on the arrow on the green button next to their name and choose your desired option.
Start a video or voice conversation:
To call someone on your contacts list, simply click on the call button next to their name, or click the drop down to choose either the video or voice option.
