Remove "Emergency Call" Button From Android Lock Screen

Android smartphones comes with some features that really makes it very interesting and easy to use. Out of many such feature, one is of Emergency Calling. This feature is enable on the lock screen on almost every Android smartphone. If sometime, by mistake, you forget your lock password or pattern  or your PIN, before using 911 emergency number then this feature can be used. This option is available at the bottom of your screen.

But sometimes, you don't need it. Some people find it annoying but they don't have the option of removing it from the phone. Many times if you have notices, the number 911 gets dialed in the pocket and the call is made. So now if you want to get rid of the Emergency Call option from the lock screen you can.

There are many other way to get rid of Emergency Call button/option by installing different apps. But one app can help you in simple way and not much knowledge is needed for the same. Hi Locker is one app that helps us to do so and is available for free on Google Play Store.

If your phone is rooted than you can go for Xposed Framework and if not then Hi Locker is the solution.

How this works:
  • Set up the app and disable the old lock screen so that you don't have to unlock your device twice.
  • Head to the Security menu in Settings, then choose the "Screen lock" option.
  • From here, select "None," then press "Yes" if prompted.
  • The next time you unlock your device, you should be greeted by your shiny new lock screen, and you won't see "Emergency Call" button anymore.
