iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Pre-Orders Begin Tonight on Flipkart
We have already seen the commercial on the Flipkart page that iPhone 7 will be launching soon. So its the time now. The iPhone 7 pre-order service kicks off at 11:59 pm on Thursday 29th Sept on Flipkart's dedicated webpage. However, it is yet to be ascertained whether the e-commerce site will charge full amount or a nominal advance payment on the day, as the shipment of the devices is expected to commence in the first week of October.
The iPhone 7 will start at Rs. 60,000 for the 32GB variant. The iPhone 7 Plus will start at Rs. 72,000 for the same storage capacity. The 128GB and 256GB variants of the iPhone 7 will be priced at Rs. 70,000 and Rs. 80,000 respectively, while the iPhone 7 Plus will priced at Rs. 82,000 and Rs. 92,000 for the corresponding storage capacities.
Coming to the specifications, the iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch display with resolution of 750x1334 pixels. The iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch, 1080p display. Both the smartphones are IP67 certified for dust and water resistance, and come in 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants. Both are powered by Apple's A10 Fusion quad-core processors, but the iPhone 7 has 2GB RAM, while the iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB RAM. The rear of the iPhone 7 has a 12MP camera with phase detection autofocus, OIS and quad-LED (dual-tone) flash.
The iPhone 7 Plus, meanwhile, houses dual-12MP rear cameras with phase detection autofocus, 2x optical zoom and quad-LED (dual tone) flash. The front of both the devices flaunt 7MP selfie cameras. The iPhone 7 has a 1960mAh battery, whereas the iPhone 7 Plus has a 2900mAh battery.
Besides Flipkart, Apple's authorised brick-and-mortar retailers -- iWorld and Unicorn -- have started taking orders for iPhone 7 series in select cities in India. Some franchises are also charging a Rs 5000 advance payment.
