Open MS Office 2007 Documents In Older Versions Of MS Office

We all are use of the Microsoft Office. Mostly used is the MS Word. We use this for all the use right from writing to saving to copy paste and for many other such use. With Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft introduced a new set of file formats: have been changed to .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx. But for those who are still using the old version of MS Office are not able to access such type of files. All this file formats are all not compatible with previous Microsoft Office versions. So if someone sends you an important Word 2007 document and you are using Word XP, an error message is displayed. Now what to do. But we have a solution for it.

Microsoft provides a plugin for this named as "Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats".

To install the plugin:

1. Go to Microsoft Download Center to download this plugin.

2. Now just click on the Download button. That's it.

This enables you to do all the operation like open/edit/save all the Office 2007 documents in Office 2000, 2003, or XP. But please make sure your office has the latest Service Pack installed, either SP3 for Office 2000 and XP, or SP1 for Office 2003.

If you don’t want to install any plugin, don't worry, we have another solution for it. One click conversion of file via "docx-converter.com".

1. Go to docx-converter.com.

2. Upload your file and select your preferred format (.doc) and enter your email id.

In a moment, you will get a note which has the download link of the converted file.

Hope you understand all the steps properly. If you like the post please do comment.

Cheers!!!
