Get Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update For Nexus 4, 5, 7 & 10

As you all know that Android 4.4 has been already out with many changes and upgradation. This has been out for all the Nexus phones. We have already seen a post in which we get the list on which other phones will be receiving this update and when. But then later, Google came up with an updated update Android 4.4.1. It improves the camera with faster focusing, especially in low light, faster white balancing, for truer colours, the ability to pinch-zoom the viewfinder in HDR+ mode and less shutter lag.

The Nexus 5's HDR+ feature is meant to help take better pictures in poor lighting or large contrast conditions by taking a burst of shots and melding them together. The update improved HDR+ and other features of the camera. But still were some issues in the 4.4.1 update. Therefore to overcome this, Google came up wiht new update 4.4.2. The update has started rolling out for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10.

The update brings various software fixes and security enhancements to the device. A full list of improvements is still unknown, and hopefully we will notice what has been changed when the source comes out. With the help of Sprint's Community moderator 4Social we came to know some of the following updates;

Enhancements/Fixes
  • Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
  • Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
  • Various additional software fixes
  • Security enhancements
The OTA should be rolled out within next few days to all supported Nexus devices. Some of the packages are already available to download from Google servers.
