Moga Ace Power: First iOS Game Controller Now Available

Today's post is not about Android. Lets talk something about games and console. We have already seen post regarding the launch of PlayStation 4 in India. But today's post is not about any console or any game. But something you might be waiting for long. Many game pad are available in the market. But recently, a new game pad has been launched specially for iPhone. This game controller is known as MOGA ACE POWER. It is one of the first MFi (Made For iPhone) game controller to hit the market. PowerA, best known for its Android-based mobile controllers, has officially released the Moga Ace Power for iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and fifth-gen iPod Touch.

The controller connects to the iPhone 5 and iPod Touch via the Lightning connector. As the images show, on the left side iOS gamers will find the L1/R1 buttons on the shoulder, an analog stick on the top portion, a directional button below that, pause and select buttons, and a switch for turning on the peripheral. On the right are the L2/R2 buttons on the shoulder, the typical XYAB action button setup, and a second analog stick below those.

The center of the controller expands to fit your iPhone and shrinks back down for storage. "We're excited to deliver Moga Ace Power to iPhone and iPod touch users in time for the holidays and have them experience the precision, console-style controls that promise to revolutionize the gaming experience on these devices," said PowerA president Eric Bensussen.

The Ace Power can actually collapse to a smaller size when not in use, offering some extra portability. When you want to use the controller on your iPhone, just pull it apart and snap the iOS device inside. The Ace Power features dual analog sticks, four shoulder buttons, a d-pad, and four face buttons. Additionally, the 1800 mAh can keep the gameplay going, or charge your device.

The game pad includes dual analogue sticks, a D-pad, action buttons, L1, R1, L2 and R2 triggers, and its own headphone jack, as well as support for Lightning connectors. MOGA's Ace Power comes with a built-in battery, doubling up the power capacity of a connected iPhone or iPod Touch handset. Other accessory manufacturers including Logitech and ClamCase have confirmed that they are working on iOS 7 controllers, but the Moga Ace Power is the first to arrive on the market.

Using the provided USB cable, you basically just "charge" the Ace on any device, and it's good to go with hours of extra battery life for your phone (although the controller stops charging when it's at 25%). It's as simple as flipping a switch, and it's like your phone or iPod Touch is basically charging in any standard socket -- you just need to remember to turn the charging function "off" before you rip your phone out.

The controller is secured by S.M.R.T. Lock™ technology which safely secures your phone within the MOGA ACE POWER - simply insert your device into the MOGA and slide the S.M.R.T. Lock switch to "lock." No worries, no hassle.

Not all games support the MOGA ACE POWER yet, so you'll have to go to MOGA's website and check out their list. Overall, if you like playing game on Gameboy, PSP or NDS then you will love playing on this. All you need is an iPhone. This controller is available now for $99.99 at Apple Retail Stores, from the Apple Online Store, or at the official Moga website.

Cheers!!!
