Samsung Unveils Galaxy S5 Mini Smartphone

It seems that Samsung is very much interested in launching the mini version of its all flagship high end smartphone. We have see many mini versions one of which was Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Samsung is rolling out a smaller version of its Galaxy S5 smartphone, less than three months after the company launched its new flagship device. Not much surprise, since it was already in news about the launching but was not confirmed, which now is.

Galaxy S5 Mini has the same design as the full-sized Galaxy S5 and is also IP67 certified, meaning it is dust and water resistant. The key difference between the Galaxy S5 mini and its larger brethren is the 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen. Standard S5 smartphones feature a 5.1-inch screen.

The handset features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p resolution, a quad-core 1.4GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSDXC support, an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera as well as Samsung's software camera features. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. It also features all of the sensors found in the larger S5, including a heart rate monitor and fingerprint scanner.

Set to be made available in the same four colour schemes as the full S5 – Charcoal Black, Shimmery White, Electric Blue and Copper Gold – the IP67 dust and water resistant S5 mini will be powered by a 2100mAh Lithium-Ion battery.

Samsung’s latest device will be available in Russia starting early this month and there are plans to roll it out to the global market. There are no details on the price yet for now.

Cheers!!!
