Panasonic Eluga Note With VoLTE Support Launched at Rs 13,290
Panasonic Eluga Note smartphone has been launched by the company in India priced at Rs 13,290. The company has confirmed that the Panasonic Eluga Note will be available via offline retailers across India. The biggest highlight of the Eluga Note is it features 4G LTE as well as voice over LTE (VoLTE), which means it should allow voice calls over mobile data on supporting networks like the upcoming Reliance Jio network.
The new Panasonic Eluga Note sports textured back design with removable back cover. The company notes that the Panasonic Eluga Note will support 4G on only one SIM. The company says that its proprietary FitHome UI is focused on providing single thumb-flick access to apps on the home screen.
As for the specifications, the Panasonic Eluga Note features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) LTPS (low temperature polycrystalline silicon) display with a pixel density of 403ppi. It is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of inbuilt storage which can be additionally expanded using a microSD card (up to 32GB).
Other features of the handset include a 16-megapixel rear-camera with triple-LED flash and f1.9 aperture. It bears a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The dual-SIM capable smartphone supports 4G Indian LTE bands, 3G HSPA+, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and other standard connectivity options.
Panasonic’s smartphone runs Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with the company’s FitHome user interface. The gold colour smartphone is 8.1 mm thick, and also includes an inbuilt IR sensor which allows a user to give control other home appliances like TV, Air Conditioners etc.
