Xiaomi Mi Max Phablet Launched in India at Rs 14,999
The Xiaomi Mi Max mobile phone was finally launched in India at a press event held in Delhi. The Mi Max smartphone is the largest smartphone to have come from the house of Xiaomi yet and it was first launched in China last month in May. The company unveiled the 6.44-inch phablet along with MIUI 8 in an event in China. Mi Max in India priced at Rs 14,999.
The all-metal body smartphone is available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Silver colours. It sports a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. While the company had unveiled three variants in China, only one variant has arrived in India - 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage/ Snapdragon 650 SoC. The company also introduced the 4GB RAM/128GB ROM version running Snapdragon 652 SoC at a price of Rs 19,999. The device is expected to available at a later date.
On the specifications front, the Mi Max (3GB version) sports a Full HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC. It runs Android 6.0.1 operating system. The device comes with a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and a dual-LED Flash along with a 5MP front camera. Powered by a 4,850mAh battery, the device supports Quick Charge and offers 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi along with other regular connectivity features.
The phablet comes with a fingerprint sensor along with an IR blaster which can be used to control home appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators and others. The device will be exclusively available on mi.com starting July 6, registrations for the same starts from June 30. The Mi Max will be available on all online platforms including Paytm starting July 13 without registrations.
