Customize Your Google+ Profile Link

We all are using Google+. But what i don't like about Google+ is our profile link. In facebook its so easy to tell any of our friend that my facebook profile is www.facebook.com/chintanhbk. But this is not the case with Google+. The profile URL of Google+ is somewhat like "https://plus.google.com/u/0/111517965364704654644/posts". Its so hard to remember and its too hard to tell anyone or even remembering it. The only option remains is either you have send the link of your profile via email or any other medium. It would be so good if the URL were like "http://plus.google.com/chintanjain". But its not.

But now that's not too hard. GPlus has helped us to remember our profile link in easy way. GPlus is a simple web app that will let you choose your own username and provides us with a short link to our Google+ profile.

Follow the steps below to customize your Google+ link:

1. Go to GPlus.com.

2. You will two text boxes, in first you will have to enter the nickname that you will like to have in your profile link. And in second box you have to insert your profile id.

To get your Google profile ID, go to your Google+ account and select Profile. See the URL which contains your Google profile ID.

3. Insert the details in both the column and click on the Add button.

4. Then after processing your id you will be provided with new id which will be somewhat like, "gplus.to/username".

Now you can easily remember this link and can say it directly to your friends.

Note: GPlus has nothing to with Google+. GPlus only redirects the link.It does not change your default Google+ link.
