iPhone 5 Specifications, Release Date & Price

After a much wait the iPhone 5 was everywhere on the news and internet on 12th of September 2012. Apple not only unveil the iPhone 5 but also some more of its product like the new iPods: touch and nano and iTunes 11. Even though other products were reveiled, iPhone 5 was the top of the most. Many people were waiting for its launch. As we all know that the Apple is always compared by Android.  I wont be discussing more about the Apple and iPhone. Its the sixth phone by Applie in the iPhone series and everyone of you are already aware of it.

Lets explore this iPhone 5:

Design:

As compare to all the previous phones this is somewhat different if compared to its design.

• The iPhone 5 is slightly taller, but roughly as wide compared to iPhone 4S. 
• The phone is 18% thinner than all its previous phones and measures only 7.6mm in thickness and 20% lighter. 
• The weight of the phone is only 112g. 

• The screen measures 4 inches diagonally and comes with a resolution of 1136 x 640 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio and 326 PPI (Retina Display).
• 44% more color saturation and integrated touch, which explains its thinness.

But above all it still looks like other iPhone. Ofcourse it should :)

New iPhone 5 will support the Nano SIM card concept. Apple was first to introduced the Micro SIM card concept in the iPhone 4 and this time also the same feature has been introduced in the iPhone 5.

Since the New iPhone 5 is expected to be bigger this time, Apple might come with better battery, which would be bit larger and would have 1,440mAh cell.

Release Date & Price:

The price will be same as iPhone 4, $199 for the 16GB version, $299 for 32GB and $399 for 64GB. The pre-orders will start on Friday 14th, with the phone releasing on 21st September. The is expected to relase in US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. 20 other countries will have to wait a month more.
