Enable "Do Not Track" for Google Chrome

Its been observed that most of the websites that you visit collects your data from the browser. They collect this data to serve you with the ads of your interest. Sometimes they also recorded your ip and pops up the message like "Your ip has won xxxx amount. Click here to claim your prize". All this are nothing but some ads they are collected from some sites that you have visited. Recently, while surfing on my Chrome, i am experiencing this problem of pop-up ads continuously. Each time i search something, i get an ad pop-up related to my query. I was so much fed up with this.

But now as a part of W3C specification, every browser should send a do not track request header to websites its users visit. To protect your privacy, Google Chrome users can now request these websites to stop tracking. This option has be available from Google Chrome 23 for Windows. You can turn on the Do Not Track requests to opt out of tracking. This feature will basically tell the websites you are visiting that you don’t want to be tracked and request them to stop collecting anonymous data.

Enabling "Do Not Track" feature in Google Chrome:

1. Make sure you have the latest version of Google Chrome. To check your current version, click on Customize and Control icon and select About Google Chrome.

2. Then click on the same Customize and Control button and select Settings.

3. Select Settings from the right pane and scroll till you see the "Show Advance Settings..." option. Click on it.

4. Scroll and look for the Privacy option.

5. Check on the last "Send 'Do Not Track' request with your browsing traffic".

That's it. This is how you active the DNT option in Google Chrome.

Cheers!!!
