Google Officially Unveils Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Some days back a person on Google+ has leaked some picture of Android 4.3. Then it spread like a fire on the internet. Also some of the dumps were forwarded. But above all this, Google has officially announced Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. At a Google event with Android chief Sundar Pichai today where the new Nexus 7 was also revealed, the new update of the world's most popular mobile operating system was announced.

One of the biggest changes is the inclusion of Bluetooth Smart, a new Bluetooth system with emphasis on maximizing energy efficiency. Other features include built-in OpenGL ES 3.0 support, DRM APIs for providing hardware-based encryption for protecting content, and more. That last one is already being put to use by Netflix in the latest upgrade to the its Android app. Google has improved the system's touch sensitivity for swiping in order to eliminate the occasional lag suffered by Android users.

The new Android 4.3 also includes the ability to save a record of notifications- clicking on an app allows you to see which notifications it has generated. Another development which may also go unnoticed is the Wi-Fi settings' advanced options. The "Scanning Always Available" option allows Google's location services and other apps to search for networks even when Wi-Fi is disabled.

OpenGL ES 3.0 is on-board, making Android the first platform to support the new standards. New DRM APIs allow content providers to deliver more options, for example Netflix has released a version of their app that streams in 1080p. Android 4.3 will be on the new Nexus 7, which was just announced, out of the box, and will also be coming to all the latest Nexus devices (Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 10) starting today.

So friends, what are you waiting for? Start clicking on the "Check for update" button and experience the Jelly Bean.

Do update us with what you think of the new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean updates.

Cheers!!!
