Lenovo was very much in news rather many rumors were in the air with the new smartphone that Lenovo was about to launch. Lenovo as expected on Tuesday launched its new flagship smartphone, the Vibe Z2 Pro (aka K920). It seems that even they were very fed up with the rumors so, the Chinese electronics giant announced the news on its Google+ page, as well as on its official Facebook page, saying, "From rumors to reality! Max performance, pro camera--we just unveiled this beast of a phone."
Talking about the phone, Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro sports a 6-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 pixel) display, which will be up against the likes of the LG G3 and Oppo Find 7, which also sport QHD displays. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company's proprietary Vibe UI 2.0 on top. The smartphone supports dual-SIM functionality. The Vibe Z2 Pro is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8974AC) 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, and clubbed with 3GB of RAM. Currently, the flagship devices from HTC, LG, Samsung, and Sony are powered by the same SoC series.
The new Lenovo flagship packs a 16-megapixel rear camera and also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. The Vibe Z2 Pro's rear camera comes with OIS (optical image stabilization), 4K video recording functionality, and dual LED flash. There is 32GB of inbuilt storage on the Vibe Z2 Pro, which is non-expandable. It also supports NFC connectivity. The smartphone comes with a large 4000mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time.
The Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro will be available in Black, Gold and Titanium color variants. The company as of now has not revealed the pricing details of the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro; it has however detailed a September availability for the smartphone.
