Xiaomi Now Discontinues Mi3 Sale in India
The registration of Xiaomi Redmi 1S has already started. The registration is open till 1st of September and the phone will be on sale on 2nd September. Xiaomi has already launched its flagship smartphone, Xiaomi Mi3. There were flash sale of Mi3 and as per the company's information currently, 90,000 units has been sold in six flash sales. Still there are many people waiting for the same to buy.
But to let you know, that Xiaomi will not continue the flash sales for its Mi 3 smartphone in India as it wants to focus on its newly launched entry-level smartphone, Redmi 1S. Xiaomi is not planning to start new flash sale after the August 26th sale. The company will only conduct flash sales for the Redmi 1S phone for the next few weeks. It has suspended the sales of Mi 3 for an undefined period of time. It is obvious that only when the Mi3 will not be available people will turn their focus to Redmi 1S. This can be company's strategy to have more sale of Redmi 1S as compare to Mi3.
This has also been said by Manu Jain, Xiaomi India GM, that the company wants to focus on pushing the sales of Redmi 1S and Redmi Note for the time being, and has suspended the sales of Mi 3. Though he added that based on the market situation after few weeks they can resume the sale of Mi3.
Xiaomi executives appeared happy with the sales of Mi 3 and had even said that the company was trying its best to improve supplies, at the Redmi 1S launch event. The company plans to launch its new flagship phone, Mi 4, towards the end of the year and the company's decision to discontinue the Mi 3 will create a vacuum.
Cheers!!!
