Asus Launches EeeBook X205 Compact Notebook at Rs 14,999
Asus has launched its EeeBook X205 compact notebook in India at Rs 14,999. The device is similar to netbooks, the affordable, underpowered, compact notebooks that were popular a few years back, but sports a better design and build. The device weighs just 980gram and is fairly slim at 17.5mm. It has an 11.6-inch glare display panel with a resolution of 1366x768p.
The EeeBook is powered by Intel's Bay Trail Atom Z3735 1.33GHz quad-core processor, integrated Intel HD Graphics and 2GB RAM. The EeeBook comes with 32GB internal storage out of which around 20GB is available but Asus is offering 500GB web storage with it. It also features a memory card reader that supports MicroSD, MicroSDXC and MicroSDHC cards. It also sports a VGA Web Camera.
Asus Eeebook runs Windows 8.1 with Bing and comes with one year subscription to Office 365.
The notebook has two USB 2.0 ports, a micro-HDMI port and a 3.5mm headset port. It has a 38 Whrs non-removable Polymer battery which as per the company lasts up to 12 hours.
The Asus Eeebok will be available in Blue, White, Gold and Red colour variants and will be available starting today on online retailer Flipkart, and through Asus stores in February. You can read our first impressions of the device here.
