Get Google Security Alerts On Your Phone
Hackers are well known for hacking accounts. Everyone of us are very much dependant on our mails. We store so many personal things on our mail accounts. Not only mails, but on our same email id we can also store photos and documents which can be very personal. Keeping all this in mind Google has already implemented the Google Security Alerts for us. Many of you must be knowing about this features. But I know there are still some of us who are not aware of this feature. So this post is specially for them.
Google already had the email notification alerts. This let us know if anyone tries to hack the account. But you were receiving this via mail. What if you are not having access to Internet at that moment? Therefor, now they have added the phone alert security. This is an excellent means of keeping your accounts protected even when you don't have access to a PC.
To activate the Phone Alert Feature follow the steps below:
1. Login to your Gmail account or simply open google.com, login and click on the Account button.
2. Click on the Security tab from the left pane.
3. You will see your mobile number in the Notification number (the one you gave while opening the account)
4. Now click on the check box in the Notification section. Check the "Suspicious sign-in" check box.
5. Then it will ask you to update your mobile number. Click on the Send Verification Code button.
6. You will receive the code. Enter that code and click on the Verify button.
7. You will see that your Notification Type for mobile alert has been activated.
This way secure your account. You will be notified whenever any suspicious login attempt is been made.
Cheers!!!
6. Now check the option as per your requirement
