Intex Launches First Fitness Smart Band 'FirRist' at Rs 999

Intex has announced the launch of its second wearable product - the FitRist fitness smart band in the India market at a price of Rs 999. The smart band will exclusively retail on Snapdeal and will compete against the popular Xiaomi Mi Band and Micromax's Yu Fit smart band, which also comes at the same price-point.

The smart band comes equipped with a number of health and fitness features such as step monitoring, distance measurement, calorie count and monitoring of quality of sleep.

The FitRist fitness smart band features a 0.86-inch OLED display with a 96x32 pixels resolution and packs in a number of health and fitness features such as calorie counter, step monitoring, distance measurement and monitoring of quality of sleep. The fitness band comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and can be paired with Android (version 4.3 and above) and iOS (version iOS 7 and above) devices. Once it is connected, the fitness band can display your notifications on its OLED display besides showing the health statistics.

The fitness band is Bluetooth 4.0 enables and displays all kinds of notifications including monitoring calls. It can be used to remotely control users' music on their smartphone besides acting as a phone tracking device. Additionally it comes with a Remote Shutter feature that helps controls the mobile camera directly from the band itself.

Intex said that the FitRist is backed by a long-lasting battery, which as per company claims can last for up to 12 days on single charge. Matching the market standards, FitRist is water-resistant and splash proof to prevent damage from rains and accidental spills. The FitRist will be available in the colours: Dark Blue and White.

Conclusion:
The FitRist is worth a buy. The display is good and the features overall at such a price is a good budget. If compared to xiaomi Mi Band, the only thing that good and bad is that FirRist has a display and Mi Band has a battery backup for 45 days. But both are equal at their level. FitRist has a display so it can consume more battery whereas Mi Band has no display so can last long. But FirRist is worth a try.
