Moto X Force With ShatterShield Launched in India: Price, Specs & Other Details
Finally the wait is over. Many Motorola lovers, including me, were waiting for the launch of Moto X Force smartphone. The wait is finally over and Motorla has launched the much awaited Moto X Force in India with Shatterproof display. The smartphone is available in 2 variant 32 GB and 64 GB. The company has priced the handset at Rs 49,999 and it will be available via Amazon, Flipkart and other retail outlets across the country starting from February 8.
The interesting thing that phone carries is the "ShatterShield" display. For those who are not aware of this feature is that the display made of five layers -- Aluminium chassis to form the rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen, and two layered touchscreen panels, interior lens to provide clear visibility of contents and exterior lens to provide additional protection, so that the phone's display will be capable of absorbing shock from the impact and is guaranteed not to shatter, as siad by the company on Twitter.
On the rear side (of base model), it comes covered with ballistic nylon (metalised glass fiber) that offers a distinctive design while providing ultimate durability. Also, underneath this coating, Moto X Force features Kevlar, a material that is known to be five times stronger than steel.
Talking about the specification, the Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch QHD (1440x2560) display. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC clocked at 2GHz with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It supports expandable storage option via microSD card (up to 2TB). The new Motorola smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, and not Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The handset comes with a 21-megapixel rear-camera with an f/2.0 aperture and dual-LED flash and Phase Detect Autofocus, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter with flash and an f/2.0 aperture. There's a 3760mAh battery on board the Moto X Force, which in addition to a claimed battery life of 2-days with "mixed use", also supports Quick Charging. It comes with a 25W charger.
Motorola said that the display comes with 4-year replacement warranty in case of accidental damage.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, GLONASS, NFC. It will also be available in two colour variants -- white soft rubber grip and grey ballistic nylon.
Cheers!!!
