Samsung's Galaxy A7 (2016) & Galaxy A5 (2016) Launched in India at Rs 29,400 and Rs 33,400

Samsung has recently held an Forum event in Kuala Lumpur where the company has announced its 2 smartphone Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016). Both the smartphones consists of Dual SIM and will be available in the country via Snapdeal and other offline retailers from February 15. Both the smartphone has quoted the price of Rs 29,400 and Rs 33,400 respectively.

To let you know that both the smartphones were already launched in the China in December. Along with this Samsung also introduced Galaxy A3 (2016), but all this were not the part of India launched. Along with the phone, Samsung also announced an Airtel data plan with upto 30GB of free data for 6 months.

Talking about Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) specification, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution Super Amoled display and packs an octa-core Exynos SoC (unspecified model) clocked at 1.6GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both sport f/1.9 aperture lenses.


The smartphone houses 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Galaxy A7 (2016) supports LTE Cat. 6 connectivity besides Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0 and NFC connectivity options. Measuring 151.5x74.1x7.3mm, the handset weighs 172 grams and is backed by a 3300mAh battery, which also supports fast charging. Accelerometer, proximity, geomagnetic sensors and a fingerprint scanner are also included.


Whereas, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) has same features as above but with some minor changes. It sports a smaller 5.2-inch full-HD Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, and 2900mAh battery with fast charging. It measures 144.8x71.0x7.3mm and weighs 155 grams.
