How to add google map in iOS 6 iPhone or iPad:

1. Open Safari browser in your iPhone or iPad.

2. Open the link maps.google.com

3. Once the map is loaded, click on the icon on the browser toolbar and select Add to Home Screen icon.

4. It will prompt to name the icon, you can name it Google Maps or anything you want then click on the add button.

That's it, now you can see the google map on your Home screen. Just click on the icon to load the google map anytime you want.
