Get Detailed Weather Forecast In Your Browser
After the Hurricane Sandy, many people started seeing weather forecast. I don't know, may they are or they will :) This weather forecast are available on many application like mobile and PC's. Separate extensions or gadgets are provided to see the weather forecast. But most of them only displays the temperature in degree Celsius. This make us unaware of detailed forecast. Therefore to overcome this, Forecastfox Weather is an extension available for Chrome and FireFox, which gives us the detailed information of weather forecast.
Forecastfox Weather is a free extension for Mozilla FireFox and Google Chrome that adds weather icons to your browser's toolbar, letting you easily track the weather anywhere in the world. Mousing over the weather icons reveals detailed weather information for each forecasted day in an easily readable format. Forecastfox Weather aims to be unobtrusive and easy to use.
This extension is linked to Accuweather. Accuweather is one of the most reliable weather forecasting website on the internet. The extension looks great and allows to check the weather outside so that you can make plan for anything. Its always best to see the weather directly on a screen in just a click rather than visiting websites or googling. This allows us to check the weather for country.
Lets see how this extensions works:
1. Go to Getforecast.
2. There you will find two options for Chrome and FireFox. Choose any one or both on which you want it to install.
Note: For reference m using Chrome.
3. Clicking on the "Download for Chrome", a new Chrome extension window will appear. Click on Add to Chrome.
4. Once installed the icon will displayed next to your address bar. Currently the location is set to New york by default.
5. Change the default location in the web page that was displayed after installing the extension
6. In the location field, type the name of your city or pincode. It will display a map along with a pinpoint showing your city. Click on the Select Location.
7. You can choose the option for showing temperature for different locations. It consists New York by default. But i deleted it. Its your choice.
8. Select your unit in which you want your temperature to be displayed in.
9. Select the Weather Data. Select Yes or no as per your need.
10. Once updating all your information, you can close the window.
11. You will see that the temperature of your selected city will be displayed next to your address bar.
12. On clicking on the icon you will be displayed a detail weather information of your city.
I think this one of the best extension you can get to see the weather of your city and that too in detailed manner. Accuweather also provides application for mobile and pc's.
