Organize Your Bookmarks Online With FaveBucket
Some days due to some problem my OS got crashed on my laptop. I was very much worried. Not because the OS got crashed but because of my important data. Though i take regular backup of all my data, but one thing never came in my mind. And that is taking backup of my browsers and bookmarks. While goggling i saved many important links and sites in the favorites and bookmarks.
The next day when i got my laptop, the first thing i did was to search for some online site which can store my bookmarks in it and whenever needed i can recover it. Then i came up with FaveBucket. FaveBucket allows you to not only collect and organize your links in one place, it also gives you options on how to share favorite links with your friends online. In Short, Favebucket is the assistant that helps you to save, recollect and share your favorites online.
Lets see how this works:
1. Go to Favebucket.com
2. Create your account using Facebook, Twitter or Google.
3. Create your account and signup.
4. Once you signup, you will see a pop up on the screen, which will ask you to connect Favebucket with your browser.
5. Just drag both ( [+]favebucket & [::] my faveboard ) tabs one after another to your bookmark bar.
It will look like as below.
6. Now open any website that you want to add or save the bookmark in Favebucket.
E.g: I had opened my website, www.mybookofknowledge.com and clicked on the [+] favebucket button.
7. It will ask you to choose a bucket to store the site, or create one of your own, and some notes to recognize it. Enter those details and Save it.

8. This way you can do it with multiple websites to store your bookmarks.
9. To view your bookmarks, just click on the [::] my faveboard button to see the dashboard.
At the bottom of your save webpage you will see a arrow file, clicking on it you see some options. It has 3 options, Delete, Confidential and Update Capture:
It stores all the links and sites that you want to keep private. It has a 4 pin lock using which you can keep it safe and secret.
Sharing:
You can also share your saved links and sites with others.
Overall, this is a good package. Since it gets store on the web, you can even see your saved bookmarks anytime anywhere you want.

[UPDATE] Hi, we are happy to say that we have done extensive work on all the feedback we received from many people and the we will publish a series of releases in the upcoming week and thereafter to meet many [not all] of the expectations people have.
ReplyDeleteEven though we understand that some Favebucketeers miss functionality it is also fair to say that in this startup stage it is impossible to do everything at once. The upcoming release will deliver browser extensions and many other new features (like several import functions) and even more important, improvements that make Favebucket faster and even more stable.
